Shawn is from Twin Falls, Idaho and has been playing fiddle for 16 years.  He’s been playing with working bluegrass bands since he was 16.  He is a five-time Idaho State Fiddle champion.  In 2006 he was a judge at the National Oldtime Fiddlers’ Contest.  He’s opened for Sam Bush, the Cherryholmes Family, Jon Reischman and the Jaybirds, the Bluergrass Cardinals, and Continental Divide.  At various times, he’s played shows with Ron Stewart, Sam Bush, Ivan Rosenberg, Jason Allen, and Tommy Detamore.  When he lived in the Northwest he played everything from the Darrington Bluegrass festival (the largest traditional music festival in the Northwest) to the Battle Mountain Bluegrass Festival (in Battle Mountain, Nevada, two years after Battle Mountain was voted the single worst city in the United States).  Currently he divide my time between playing with five bands and drinking too much Lonestar on an almost daily basis.
