Marc, a relative newcomer to the bluegrass scene, originally hails from New Jersey (not TOO far from the Appalachian Mountains).  Prior to joining The Lost Pines, he played funk and jazz guitar, and taught choral music, in the San Francisco Bay Area.  However, after discovering the magic of Gillian Welch and David Rawlings, he was officially converted.  Soon after that, he moved to Austin, where he has played with The Lost Pines ever since.  He also works as a mental health counselor in local public schools, and teaches Kundalini Yoga at YogaYoga.
